BRASA Insurance Coverage

Further to Greg McKenzie’s letter of 12/4/19 advising that BRASA’s insurer (QBE) will not renew BRASA’s Public Liability Policy (including Management Committee Defamation cover) when it is due for renewal on 30/4/19, BRASA’s Management Committee has been seeking alternative insurers, but with no success to date.

Important news for all BRASA members

Due to BRASA’s insurers advice they will no longer provide public liability insurance after 30 April 2019, no BRASA events will be conducted after that date.

The AZCAC Day ceremony at Graceleigh Park on 25 April 2019 and ‘Movies Under the Stars’ at Lower Beechmont on 27 April 2019 may be the last events conducted under BRASA auspices, unless a last minute reprieve is granted.

So come along everyone and make sure the last two events are well attended.

BRASA AGM Reminder 9am Saturday 27 October

The BRASA AGM will be held at Hall on Graceleigh this coming Saturday 27/10/18, commencing at 9am.

For those members unable to be present at 9am, the polling booth will be open for registration of votes until 1pm on Saturday.

Members are asked to go to the Returning Officer, show identification, if requested to have your name ruled off the membership roll, collect the voting paper, vote and place your vote in the ballot box before you leave.

This process is to allow as many members as possible to vote, not just those who are able to attend at 9am.

There are a number of resolutions (as previously advised) to be decided; some of which will change the way BRASA operates.  The Committee would appreciate ALL members having their say – BRASA seeks to be as truly democratic as possible.

I look forward to seeing you at some time this Saturday (27/10/18).

Yours sincerely
Janis Rossiter
