The Beechmont Press Club met last Thursday night 23 February 2017 to celebrate a thousand likes on the Beechmont Community Network Facebook page. A milestone to be proud about in the 6+ year history of the page. The page was once setup by Dan McKenzie and now has an active team of editors contributing Beechmont related content.
Janis Rossiter, secretary of BRASA, introduced Loretta Serong as the new BRASA marketing coordinator. Loretta will look after the BRASA Facebook Page and the BRASA website, and has now also joined the editors team of the Beechmont Community Network facebook page. Loretta is studying marketing at Griffiths Uni.
With a strong team of contributing editors, there will be plenty to read in the coming year. If you have any news or gossip to be published, you can post it yourself on one of the facebook pages or send it to firstname.lastname@example.org

HELP NEEDED AT GRACELEIGH PARK OVAL
SATURDAY 2pm – 4pm
FREE SAUSAGE SIZZLE
Irrigation sprinklers have now been installed on Graceleigh Park Oval. Locals and users of the oval are needed to help rake the loose earth back into the trenches. It’s light work and with many hands we’ll be finished in an hour or so.
Please brink a shovel and/or a rake and make your way to the oval at 2pm.
A couple of barrows needed also.
See you there!
Amidst all the haste the newsletter sent out yesterday contains two important mistakes as follows:
Lower Beechmont Park Project (omissions in bold)
Gold Coast City Funding (Glenn Tozer’s Office) $30,000
Stronger Communities Grant (Scott Buchholz Office) $6000
Graceleigh Park Oval Irrigation Works
The bore will produce a yield of over 4000 gallons not litres as published.
My apologies for the confusion.
